BOC is fully aware of, and committed to, its duty of care and environmental obligations. As such, the Balloon Occasions cylinder is made of fully recycleable steel. The cylinders present no problems to the environment if disposed of correctly. In order to dispose of your cylinder, please follow the simple instructions below. How do I dispose of my empty Balloon Occasions cylinder?*Empty Balloon Occasions cylinders should not be thrown away with your household rubbish* Instead they need to be emptied and taken to your local Civic Amenity Site who will dispose of the cylinder for you. In order to ensure the cylinder is empty please take the following steps -
Where is my nearest Civic Amenity / disposal site?In order to help with locating your nearest disposal site BOC have compiled a spreadsheet that gives contact details for most waste management authorities in the UK, who will be able to help. If your local authority or council is not listed, please call the BOC Customer Service Centre on 0800 111 333, who will assist you further.
Why are my local disposal site saying they can't take the cylinder? There is a lot of mis-information given about the disposal of low pressure cylinders. The chances are that your local site are able to dispose of it for you, but are not aware of the procedure for doing so. If they are adamant that they cannot take the cylinder, please contact the BOC Customer Service Centre on 0800 111 333. In most cases we will arrange for our safety department to send disposal procedures and they should then be happy to take the cylinder. |
